My work is about the delicacy of moments, how timing can create breathtaking beauty or show the utterly ridiculous to be just plainly humorous. I tend to work on many pieces simultaneously, layering paint until a story unfolds. Something interesting happens when a memory of a place blends with a story told, where the sensible meets the whimsical, and where abstraction meets the narrative. It is in this territory that I find the inspiration for my paintings.
