My work is a culmination of my love for casual hand-built shapes and the beauty of watercolors sealed in glaze. Painting on white glaze with mineral stains is very much the same as painting on paper with pigment. They both have a beautiful luminous freshness and transparency that I never grow tired of exploring. My functional pottery is created with traditional lead-free Majolica materials starting with the finest terracotta clay. The inspiration for my designs come from my love of vintage botanical prints and the beauty of our common fruits and flowers always changing color with the seasons.
