Point Reyes Open Studios

Sue is influenced by the West Marin environment and more specifically, Tomales Bay. While there are references to particular locations along the shore of the bay, her interest is the light, texture, and movement of water. She paints from a perspective that allows her to draw attention to the water’s surface qualities and at the same time consider what is obscured below the surface.

Sue attended the University of Wisconsin and later graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute.
