Tom has been creating Japanese-style wood and linocut prints of the California landscape for over 35 years. He was born and raised in Marin County and moved to West Marin after living for many years in Santa Cruz. Currently, Killion is completing a new book of images and poetry about Mt. Tamalpais. For Open Studios 2006 Tom will be showing new work in the studio where he creates it. He will also have some rare and out-of-print images for sale, and a complete selection of available prints, books and notecards. Tom will demonstrate the original blocks and tools he uses to create his multi-color prints, and visitors (including children) will be able to pull their own "keepsake" print on his hand-cranked Asbern proof press. For complete information about his work please visit his website (www.TomKillion.com) linked above.
