I work in my studio which is located just outside my home in Inverness Park. I have been working in fiber arts for 27 years and painting and drawing since I can remember. At present I am working with recycled wool blankets which I over dye and weave into rugs. I am also making pile rugs from new wool. My practical nature influences my art and I love to create useful vibrant textural works of art; hence my rugs. I also sew and knit. The artists in the Point Reyes community and the wealth of artwork in the Bay Area have provided much inspiration. I was a founding member of the Black Mountain Cooperative Weavers in 1984. At that time we had over 15 fiber artists in the co-op; it was a rich time for textile inspiration. I am also a member of the San Francisco Textile Arts Council. The Point Reyes Seashore abounds with inspiration; the only down side is trying to stay put in the studio, rather than going out to enjoy the local beauty.
